Squeaky Toy
i am so curious as to why my dog has attached herself t a squeaky toy?

I have a female Min Pin that is 5. In the last several weeks she has attached herself to a little squeaky toy. She takes it with her outside to do her business, to bed, carries it around all the time. She does not anyone to play with it besides her. The first time I noticed it she was trying to hide it in the closet. Do you think she is substituting the toy for a puppy of her own. She is not spayed and has never had pups.
It's really quiet bizarre behaviour.

my mothers poodles do that. Her old dog Rustherford used to carry what we called his girlfriend around with him. it was a stuffed giraffee with a sqeaky in it. He would bring it outside to go potty and put it in his Food Bowl while he was eating or drinking, sleep with it and carry it around everywhere. When it got old my mother had to put new sqeakys in it and eventually she used the fur outside to put around new stuffing. now, Her dog Boomer has a stuffed squirrle and he does the same thing with it. Freaks out if he cant see the thing from where he is at all times.
