Tiny red ants on my laptop?
I don't eat or drink in bed but these tiny red ants seem to love my macbook. Every once in a while one will pop up from the keyboard or crawl onto the screen, and I have no idea where they're coming from. I've lined my windows and the perimeter of my second-floor room with powder and repellent. I have liquid ant baits that work for them (Terro--the greatest I've found), but I was wondering if anyone knew how or why they're there to begin with? Are they especially attracted to technology?
he's right the ants want the heat generated by the laptop. here in the philippines we use insect chalk. you can buy this at chinese stores. use the chalk to draw lines on your laptap where the ants pass. it works with my TV, radio, DVD player. I hear ordinary chalk will do. Be alarmed! the ants can damage some electronic parts!
