Help with my two huskies?
My two huskies keep getting out of the backyard. Any ideas on containment? Half the yard is Chain Link fence and right now we cannot afford a new fence. I have tried tying them up however they dig out of it and they get tangled in eachother.
The only thing that I found that works with my huskies is an Electric Fence. We purchased ours at Tractor Supply. They are very stubborn dogs and the bare wire ones are the most effective for them. Yes some say its cruel but when you have tried everything (and we have) you have to do what works. We have tried to put rail road ties down and fence stays on the chain link even tent stakes to try and keep them from pushing and digging out. Only after putting up the electric fence do they stay in the yard and safe unless they pee on the fence then....

Havahart Fence Free Containment System The Havahart Fence Free Containment System helps train your dog to stay within the boundaries you set. Through training, your dog will learn to recognize the boundary visually (training flags), and through an audible tone and/or static stimulus transmitted through the receiver collar. The Fence Free Containment System includes enough wire to contain your property up 1/3 acres.
